Onward to 2019…

Friends, this will be a quick read – I promise!

As we begin 2019, I want to give you all some scripture, insight, and a challenge to hopefully guide you throughout the year.

Scripture – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” [Proverbs 3: 5-6]

Insight – Friends, this year I want you to remember: God will only send you what you can handle. God may send you some difficult times this year, in which case, lean harder on Him. “For nothing will be impossible with God.” [Luke 1:37]

Place your trust in Him and walk fearlessly with Him.

Challenge – In 2019, I want to challenge you all to seek and pursue God in all things. Whether it be a joyous occasion, an extremely difficult decision, or some harsh news…I challenge you to seek and pursue God endlessly in 2019.

Lastly, I want to leave you with one of my favorite prayers, the Serenity Prayer:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;

Courage to change the things I can;

And the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;

Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;

So that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him

Forever and ever in the next.

Amen.

Happy New Year, friends!
